Hi everyone,
I'll see you later in our speaking session.
Meanwhile, those are the points you need to cover in today's class.
CLASS:
Grammar: here is a reminder of what we saw last Thursday: reporting statements and questions.
You can now take your books and do ex. 12-13-14 page 95. For further practice, move on to this handout. Read the grammar and do the ex.units 47 and 48 (key included).
Then, move on to page 100-101 to do some authentic listening. Watch "10 ways to have a better conversation" and do ex. 5, 6, 7. (key provided last week).
To finish off, read page 103 "An email of complaint", and do ex. 5-6-7. You've got an example on page 152 and some useful language. Make sure you read it before our Thursday class to solve any possible doubt/problem.
HOMEWORK:
Pronunciation: read the following poem, fill in the gaps with the words in A or B and then listen to the audio file. Read aloud the limericks and pay attention to the bolded words (you should stress them).
