B.1.A. March 12th (online session nº1)
Good morning!
This is what I have prepared for you all:) Hope you find it useful and not too boring to do at home:)
OUR CLASS:
First of all, remember you had to hand in your "Written mediation" today. Please, send it to sylvie.riesco@educa.madrid.org (not to my gmail account). Remember to write it as an email so that I can correct it using another colour.
Then, can you remember the vocabulary we saw last Tuesday? Check your memory:)
Later, you can check your grammar handout 5B ("usually and used to"). This is the key: 2. works, 3.don't live, 4. used to dream, 5. didn't use to eat, 6. (usually) cook, 7. used to live, 8. (usualy) stay, 9. didn't use to play 10. doesn't ride, 11. (usually) wear, 12. used to be, 13. (susually) stay in , 14. used to have.
Click on the following links for further practice (then, check the key)
Remember the difference Used to vs. usually
You can now move on to your book, page 83 to learn how to present an opinion. You had to do ex. 6b at home. What you can do now is write and talk about one of the sentences (A-G). What's your opinon? (considering facts, reasons and examples) and read it aloud. Take your time, check your vocabulary, grammar and pronunciation. Now you're going to work in pairs! yes! Send it to one of your classmates (whatsapp voice message) and wait for an answer. Does s/he agree with you? Then, listen to their message and record your answer!
To finish our session today, we're going to devote some time to Practical English, episode 3 (listening and social English phrases). You can listen to the episode and do the activities p.84-85 and then move on to the following social English activity
HOMEWORK
You need to read p.94 and do ex. a,c,d.
And if you didn't do the Reading mock exam "Sarah enjoys" pack, you can finish it. I'll give you the key next Tuesday.
Please let me know if you have any problem:)
