Hi there!
Here is everything I've prepared for our session today. Hope you find it useful.

First of all, let's correct:

- your grammar handout "ing/infinitive" unit 56:
56.1: 2driving, 3 to go, 4 to go, 5 raining, 6 to win, 7 asking, 8 askint, 9 to answer, 10 breaking, 11 to pay, 12 losing or to lose, 13 to tell, 14 crying, or to cry, 15 to get, 16 meeting ...to see
56.2: He can remember going to Paris when he was eight.
3. He can't remember crying on his first day at school

Then, we can move on to our books, p.62-63 and think about present and past modal verbs: obligation, permission, advide, deduction... Have a look at ex. 2, 4, 5 and then check your answers on page 136. For next class, do exercises 2-5.
Click on the following links to get more information about past modal verbs:
Now do ex. 6.8.9 p. 63.

And to do some different listening and speaking today, click on What is the coronavirus? to know a bit more about Coronavirus and answer the questions on the right. Remember to set up the English subtitles if you need it.
After that, write a short paragraph answering the following question: "To what extent has coronavirus changed our lives? What about our working conditions?". Then, read it aloud and pay special attention to the vocabulary and the pronunciation. Send a whatsapp audio to one of your classmates telling him/her about it and wait for their opinion. Do you agree with each other?

HOMEWORK
As I already mentioned last Tuesday, you need to send me another piece of writing: a letter of application. Have a look at the language box and instructions on page 67 and 151 in your book.
Remember you need to look at the job adverts on the left p.66 and choose the one you prefer. Write a letter of application for one of the three jobs.
Here is an interesting blog where a teacher corrects a cover letter. You may find it useful:)

Please let me know if you have any problem.

  1. About the Coronavirus, and how is affecting our lives Raúl and me (Samuel) after talk we had the next conclusion: both of us are continuing more or less with our routine, but for Samuel is changing his personal life in relation with his hobbies, like riding his bike or playing with his band on Sundays his day off. However he continues studying as usual at home, preparing his future exam.
About Raul's case, he can't continue working out for his Marathon of Madrid and he has cancelled his next trips to Colombia and Thailand. Speaking about his job, no changes, he is doing similar things but more carefully in relation to speak with citizens.

    1. Sorry! I missed your comment.
Thanks for sharing! Everything seems to have changed, indeed: both going out and staying at home.
Some mistakes corrected:"after talking" "his personal life is changing" "when speaking with citizens"
